The Newton Wellesley Hospital Women’s Imaging Center was the first breast imaging facility in the nation to provide tomosynthesis (3D) imaging to all women having mammography. This improved technology has allowed a dramatic improvement in cancer detection while decreasing the need for additional views.
At the Manton Breast Center, women making an appointment for a screening mammogram may choose to wait for results and have any needed additional evaluation the same day, or they may choose to have their screening mammogram and leave to get their results by phone and by mail.
The radiologists providing the breast imaging services are highly skilled specialists with advanced expertise and experience, and have all the necessary imaging technology and diagnostic capabilities that breast patients need. The technologists doing the mammograms are also exceptionally well trained and very dedicated.
Are you confused about when and how often to get a mammogram? The Society of Breast Imaging provides answers to these questions and more at EndTheConfusion.org.
